How I saved money today - Old Towels

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle - we're heard that often enough.

Today I used that adage to save money here on the farm. I cut up old cotton bath towels into face cloth sized pieces. From the faded tags on some of the towels, I could tell they were wedding gifts (and we've been married over 10 years!).

These towels have gone from the bathroom to the laundry room to dry sweaters. They will live on as rags at our veggie wash stand this summer. They're nice and soft now, and won't harm even the vulnerable zucchini.
